Beautiful days

The weather has been absolutely wonderful, cool with enough rain to keep me from dragging hoses all over the yard. My flowers are beautiful, the blossoms on the day lilies are huge and brightly colored.

The potluck dinner was great, we feasted on crab and pasta salad, veggie pizza, baked beans, sloppy joes, salted nut bars and special K bars, among other yummy dishes.

Saturday the group was small and Karla provided the card, she did not have to have a moving truck pull up with supplies, she brought it all in with one trip! A record!
Lois, Paulette and I got to play with several coordinating papers, buttons, flowers and die cuts.
This is a variation I put together after everyone left, I used a Karen Lockhart stamp.

I will be gone this weekend, no group on the 25th.

Play Day will be August 1st, I have several projects that the Big Shot, Cricut, Glimmer Mist and who knows.
Here is idea 1
to put this idea together please bring
2 pieces of 8 1/2 x 11 coordinating patterned paper
1 piece of 8 1/2 x 11 coordinating card stock
embellishments to match (not required)

In your tool kit bring a metal ruler, xacto knife, bone folder, paper trimmer, glue pen.

More to come as I get them ready, I hope you will all bring a "shoebox" project to share.
We will start a 9:30 and go until we run out of things to do, I have a lot of paper in my craft room, you may need jammies and a toothbrush (ha ha).

I saw Vicki tonight at Target, her kitchen TV died and she was getting a replacement. She is very happy her son is home from Kuwait, she sends her love and thanks for all the prayers to everyone.

FYI: Susan is having a new book open house next week, Paulette, Karla and I will be at the Baymont Thursday at 6:30, hope to see you then too!

Love to you all

Cindy

It's all working again!!

Suzanne and Bill were here for the weekend for a wedding (Suzannes best friend Erica) and Bill worked a miracle and got the computer and picture drive to "talk" and now I can fully update this blog again. Thanks Bill!!

Rather than do a huge catch up issue, I want to hit the highlights of what the Tramps have been up to. We continue to meet on Saturday mornings and solve world and personal problems with our own brand of humor. We have only had to redress Lois once, reintroduce Peg to ink and stamps, Karla was early once, Mary still strives to fix Stephanie's hair, Pam takes time out to camp with Ken, Paulette bakes us wonderful goodies, Beth received a "bite me" stamp finally, rejoiced with Vickie when her son safely returned from deployment , think Joyce works to many hours, love to hear Gwen tell about Damian's latest accomplishments and I love to have everyone around.

July 1st I hosted a SU new catalog party, Susan showed us the new colors, love the razzleberry, curry and melon!! Demonstrated adorable ideas and shared stories.

Paper Beads, a great way to add to the card and use up that last little scrap2 Scallop punches folded and dotted, made to look like a ladybug - too cute, then on the inside Susan used the new "look here" die
Susan's last demo idea was a diorama style card, it turned out very cute!!
We all got to water color and make a card. On the 11th, I provided the card

Stamps: SU Botanical Blooms
Ink: Versa Fine Onyx, SU Rose Red
Paper: SU Cutie Pie DSP, Rose Red, Bliss Blue and whte CS
Extras: Making Memories ribbon, pop dots and sponge for inking the paper

Coming Up
Summer Pot Luck, Tuesday the 14th at my house, bring 4 Christmas cards from you stash to give to Paulette.

Saturday August 1st will be "play day", bring a project using a die, cricut, cuttlebug or a little more than we normally do to share and learn/practice a technique.
Stay all day and have lunch with us.

Till I see you again

Love you!!

Cindy
