Shhh... the snow is melting

I hate to bring on the winter gods again but, the weather is finally being tolerable.

To get us all caught up... Karla showed us this cute template that created a fun tri-fold card. Some of us (me especially) struggled with cutting the outside paper to fit on the template.

We cut fun embellishments from the paper and added ribbon and buttons to finish it off.  Thanks Karla.

Tuesday night was the first time we meet at the Library since November and we had some catching up to  for St Patrick's Day, the card I provided did not have the Pure Innocence girl. Ann gave her cards to Paulette to mail later in the week.

Gwen provided this super Easter theme design, the spring colored butterflies give up hope,

Saturday Sue came over for Paulette's SU party, we had a ball, we always learn a new technique, color combo or a good story when she joins us.
The first card was created using a "frosted" background, the DSP was run through a folder and then we rubbed a sanding block over it, what a cool affect. The cupcake wrapper paper was run through a corrugater then punched out.  Love the pearl on the flower.

the camera does not pick up the "smooch" used on the butterfly to make it shimmer.

To create the balloon punch a large circle, (we had a cutting pattern, but you get the idea) , punch the clouds(cupcake frosting) and balloon basket (cupcake wrapper)  out and pop some up clouds and the basket, embellish with tiny pearls, put ribbon the balloon and up, up and away.

Last but not least we made a sunny card, the stamp says true friend, accept no substitute, oh how true.

Now on to what I have been working on, love this ice cream parlor paper, ribbon and buttons from the Sal e bration catalog!!

and another Pure Innocence girl

Love to you all

Mary where are you!!
