It's Spring!!

The snow is finally all gone and the tulips and daffodils are coming out of the ground. Next I need to time rabbit ravaged trees and clean out flower beds. But in the mean time, lets stamp!!!

Last Saturday Lois designed this girly card,  We used several techniques to get the look, the base of the card is stamped several time with a word stamp. the dress form inked in black and the base in gold and the edges sponged with black ink, then adhered to black C/S, the tissue paper ruffle was made by placing double stick tape down and pleating the paper that was trimmed with deckle scissors. Beautiful was stamped in gold ink. the button embellishment is a die cut and buttons were threaded and placed on the die.

A few weeks ago we ordered paper kits from Flourishes, it had a 6x6 paper pad, several types of ribbon, flowers, mosaic pieces.  Here are a few of the cards I made from the kit

I have also been playing with several new SU sets

Same layout, two different color themes, 2 looks.

I love this egg stamp.

Yesterday Lois, Paulette, Peg, Mary, Karla and I went to Omaha and took a class at Archivers, We had a great time, we laughed and learned how to make several types of paper flowers. And we shopped,  ate a delicious lunch. Doug teased me before I left that he would be alerting the authorities about our trip, I think he really must have, we saw 6 highway troopers, but ha ha I saw them first and no tickets for me.

Love to you all

Cindy

Your flowers on the kit cards are much cuter than the flower I disliked so much at Archivers! You also, did not mention that it was 80+ in Omaha, with some sun! We had a good time, thanks to Cindy and Lois for driving. We managed to avoid the bad weather that went across 29 behind us on our way home! And, I think Archivers will allow the Tramps to return!
