Cranky Day - Spring 2011!!

Saturday was windy, but we stayed safe sitting around the table showing off our "cranky projects"

My card #1 featured a cardstock run through a plastic folder then sponged with white craft ink, the brown polka dot and white pieces were cut with a spellbinders die, the white piece was stamped with the birdcage and layered along with  the polka dot piece over the brown and blue stripe. the sentiment stamped in brown on white, before the die was placed on to cut a brown marker was run around the inside of the die to give a brown rim to the piece and then it was popped up on the card, the whole piece was layered on a craft base.

My second card used a MFT pennant die, the base cut in white and pennant and ruffle in pinks, the "Happy" was stamped on scrap paper and punched with a 1/2 inch punch and placed on top of the pennant piece, a piece of white embroidery  floss was used to hang the pennant. The "birthday" was stamped in black and tag cut, the ribbon flower was attached with scor tape.

Lois used the basket die and then the two sides were run through the textile die to give some texture, 3 tags were punched and stamped and tied with seam binding. the ribbon used on the outside of the basket is really cute.

Paulette's old fashion car die is fun, it could be done in any color, she picked black with rust ink highlights.

Who loves flowers, Mary!! the sweet two tone die cut flowers and button center, make a fun card.

We were careful to stay hydrated, carbed up and moved around to prevent stiffness.

Hope you like the cards.

Cindy
