Another Cranky Day has come and gone, always too soon. Lois, Paulette, Mary and I stayed hydrated and carbed up and worked until mid afternoon. Karla called in sick with a sinus infection and Peg was working at the knitting store, Beth working (as always) and Pam was unable to attend.
We started out with tasty Bagel Boy bagels and cream cheese courtesy of Mary.
First project was from me, (lifted from Becca Feeken - Amazing Paper Grace), using two nestiability taped together to create a frame, save the center of one of the frames to stamp the message, used SU DSP from the Sweet Pea paper stack. Embellished with Dew Drops

Lois was up next and wowed us with gift tags, but we wonder is there are any paint sample chips left a Home Depot. The paint sample strip was attached to the card stock, stamped with a coordinating image, corner rounded, run through a embossing folder, hole punch and ribbon added. The blue paint sample was punched first, then attached to the tag, a die cut snowflake with a diamond added to the center of the flake topped the tag..

Water Break and had to move around next.
Paulette showed us how to make little luminaries with a SU bag die and sizzelets. She also provided a "tea lite candle" for the inside., You could make these for any holiday or event.!! Cute!!
Reverse side

We were the first ones to use her SU pillow box die to create Treat Boxes, won't this be cute with some ribbon and the Boo from the luminary on a tag.

Whoooo made the cutest card, why Mary of course, she loves the SU owl and things that "peek". The outside was a wood grain texture plate (once we figured out the "samich"), attach to the espresso card stock, circle punch mid way up, topped with a scallop circle with the center punched out. Message on a word window and label punch under it..

The owl was put together and sat on a branch (bird punch) and mounted on white c/s so he/she can peek through the hole.

Lunch break, delish strawberry salad, corn and ham chowder, crackers and
buns. Thanks everyone for pitching in, many hands make light work. Lois
did all the dishes.
Mary offered a second project using the rose folder, excess was cut off and ink and a finger dobber were used to highlight the rose. Ribbon slits were added and a bow was tied, attached to the base and label die cut, punched and sponged. This idea could be used to create a sympathy card.

My last project used the small pennant die and honors my dads favorite kind of corn, candy corn!!

Two yellow small pennants were cut, white paper attached to the tip and sponged in orange, orange stripe added and the yellow top sponged. To create the door hanger, fold the scalloped edges in with a bone folder, add red line tape to the scalloped edged, put together and on the back side push hard with the bone folder to get good contact. Small holes are punched in the from top corners and a handle made with hemp cord. Little candy corn buttons (from my stash and trick or treat ribbon added.
We had a great time, hard to believe.
Love to you all
Cindy
